My prog metal band, Kortriba, has decided to expand our line up to better pursue our vision. Dusty and I have been doing the vocals for years now and I’ve always felt that it’s stifled our performance and felt monochromatic to all the colors we try to bring to the table instrumentally. We want a vocalist, a standalone entity to be the eye in whatever storm we decide to conjure, someone that can embrace the more shamanistic and ethereal aspects of our music. To absolutely clarify, someone who can SING and is damn good at it. I still want harsh vocals in our music, but that can be covered by us.

The lyrical concepts for this record and the next have already been materialized and we would work in tandem as writers to have lyrics that adhere to the stories but also allow you to have a strong emotional investment in the music.

This is first entry in The Mongrel Narratives.
